Did you know that generally, our ticket sales to members only make up around 10-15% of our Box Office takings for each production?

It’s fantastic that our shows are selling to wider audiences than just our core membership, but we would love to see more of you at the EAT enjoying the plays that we work so hard to put on.

At the moment we’ve got 100 members. And, of course, a lot of you are involved in our plays, on stage, behind the scenes and Front of House.  And it’s likely that you won’t be able to come to see everything in a season – however much we’d all love to go to the theatre every week, a little thing called life does get in the way.

But, don’t forget you get a £2 discount on your ticket as an EAT Member and by coming along to support our shows, you’re not only enjoying a night of great entertainment, you’re also helping us to keep this wonderful little theatre open.

If every member booked a ticket for a show, we’d sell just under 20% of the run, bring a friend and that goes up to 40%, bring THREE friends and we’ve sold 80% of the available seats!

Membership costs just £15 a year. And so if you come to see every show, you’ll make a saving of £12 across the year – meaning your membership has just cost you £3. And if you take advantage of the member discount for a guest production or two, you could even end up in profit!

As a Member, you are also eligible to take part in our productions and volunteer to help out behind the scenes, front of house or even in the general running of the theatre. It’s a great way to give something back, support the arts, make new friends and build up your skills and experience to help you in your career.
