From September 2025 the EAT is joining forces with the Theatre Box Performing Arts Academy to offer an opportunity for young people aged between 11 and 18 to benefit from top quality training in performance skills. About Theatre Box Theatre Box is a multi award-winning academy that provides accessible and inclusive performing arts classes and workshops to children, young people and adults. Theatre Box believes that everybody deserves the chance to develop the confidence, self-belief and drive to achieve whatever they set their minds to in life. The core transferable skills that you’ll learn are invaluable. Classes are designed to not only help nurture and develop talent, but also to build long lasting communication skills and confidence. Theatre Box at the EAT Sessions will run from 10.30am-12.30pm every Saturday during termtime, starting on Saturday 20th September 2025. The young people attending will benefit from training that includes: • scripted and improvised theatre • monologues, duologues and group performance • drama techniques • technical theatre. Sessions start promptly at 10.30am and children should be collected at 12.30pm. We do not allow parents and guardians to stay and watch weekly classes but they will be invited to end of term/season performances to see what everybody has been working on. Each session costs just £11 per child. Initially, payment is on a weekly basis, so that the children can decide whether it is something they enjoy. Monthly payments can then be set up online via the Theatre Box website.
