Meet the Team

Run entirely by volunteers, the EAT currently has a Management Committee who take overall responsibility for delivering an entertaining season of productions and for providing a safe and welcoming environment for anybody who visits the theatre. The current team are in their roles on an Interim basis. The EAT has been awarded Charity status April 2026) and is required to have a Board of Trustees. Initially, the Trustees are Lindsay Dale, Rachel de Silva, Helen Macdonald, Sue Sewell and Penny Walshe. At the next AGM (August 2026), they will stand down and have the opportunity to seek re-election, along with any other theatre members who would like to put themselves forward.

If you would like to find out more about the role of the Trustees, or any other aspect of helping with the running of the theatre, please contact us at edwardaldertontheatre@gmail.com to find out more. Or contact any of the Interim Committee if you would be interested in finding out about their specific responsibilities.

We are all open to feedback and input from the Theatre’s members and supporters.

As the EAT’s purpose is to schedule and deliver a programme of productions that will be popular with our audiences and encourage new people to visit the theatre, we have a team of people who work alongside Rachel, our Production Manager, to select plays, secure performance rights and support directors throughout the rehearsal process. This team is made up of members of the theatre with experience in acting and/or directing. If you would be interested in getting involved, contact Rachel at productions@edwardalderton.org
