So, we’ve chosen a play. The Director has a fantastic cast to work with. But where would we be without a set to work on? Our Set Design and Build team are absolutely vital when it comes to bringing our season of plays to the stage. They work with our directors to make sure that their vision becomes reality – designing the scenery that will be used and then building it – often from scratch! As we are a small theatre, most of our productions will only have one main set with other areas for action being created with clever use of furniture or lighting. But we do like to push boundaries so if a director has a challenging idea, we’ll do everything we can to make it happen! No previous experience is needed to join the team – just lots of enthusiasm. That said, if you are an experienced carpenter or painter, don’t be shy, come on down! If you think you have the creativity to bring a director’s vision to life with your design ideas or if you would like to join a friendly and talented team who build the sets for our season of productions, then we’d love to hear from you.
