The Edward Alderton Theatre bar is open on performance nights and at other events throughout the year, as well as the popular weekly Wednesday Social Evenings. We’re looking for somebody who might be interested in taking over responsibility for its running.

The main duties include:

• Serving behind the bar
• Purchasing stock for the bar and stocking up, cashing up etc.
• Cleanliness, washing up and general tidying up of the bar area, recycling, emptying bins etc.
• Organising the weekly bar staff rota

The Bar Manager is the Licensee and Designated Premises Supervisor and is responsible for the licensable activities permitted on the premises in accordance with the Premises Licence Operating Schedule and the Alcohol Licensing Objectives.

As the Bar Manager you will need to apply for – or already hold – a Level 2 Personal Licence Award and Disclosure and Barring (DBS) Certificate. The Theatre will pay for this.
