Help Shape our 2026-27 Season

It’s that time of year again – we’ve launched our new season, enjoyed some fantastic auditions and in just a few weeks’ time we’ll have a new roof ready to start rehearsals for our first production of the 50th Anniversary Season, Deathtrap.

So, now it’s time to start planning for 2026-27.  We’ve put out an open call for Directors, but we’d also like to hear from our members and supporters as to what you’d like to see on the EAT stage.

Is there a play (or plays?!) that you think would be a good fit for our intimate performance space? If so, you can let us know by taking a minute to complete our Season Survey.

We will consider all of your ideas but can’t make any guarantees that your play will be chosen as we have to consider budgets, availability for performance, the mix of plays across the season, finding the right director etc. But even if we can’t take your suggestion forward, it could still provide inspiration for something that is perfect for the EAT, so please share your thoughts with us.

All suggestions are welcome – our recent survey told us that you love crowd pleasers, classic dramas, comedies and you could even be open to a musical (think small scale rather than Moulin Rouge or Miss Saigon!), so anything along those lines would be really helpful. If you’re looking for inspiration, check out our Production Archive to see everything that we’ve put on in our 50 year history.

We’re really looking forward to checking out your ideas. If you’d rather send us your thoughts directly, then email our Production Manager Rachel de Silva at productions@edwardalderton.org
