The Flint Street Nativity
By Tim Firth
Directed by Lindsay Dale

 6th – 13th December 2025

About the Play:
A class of seven year olds is about to perform their nativity play for the proud mums and dads - and others. Missis Horrocks their teacher keeps a watchful eye, we never see her but she makes her presence felt.

Squabbles arise because Angel Gabriel wants to be Mary, the Star grumbles that he isn’t a proper star - and he knows these things because his uncle works for NASA, Herod won’t stop waving at his Mum and Dad and the Innkeeper is just odd! And then the class stick insect escapes!

The children are played by adults who then play their parents. This warm, witty play is a lovely alternative to the usual Christmas fare with original lyrics set to the tunes of Christmas carols that we all know and love.

Contains mild bad language. Suitable for children aged 10+
