Youth Theatre Comes to the EAT

We are delighted to announce that the EAT is opening its doors to the next generation of performers. We have joined up with the Theatre Box Performing Arts Academy to offer an opportunity for young people aged between 11 and 18 years old to develop performance skills that could be the start of a bright future on the stage, the beginning of a life-long hobby or a way to build confidence, make friends and, of course, to SHINE! As it says on their website, Theatre Box wants to create opportunities for everyone and we’re totally on board with that.

Theatre Box Founder and Director Jade Flannery and her team will be running sessions at the EAT every Saturday during term time from 10.30am-12.30pm (starting on Saturday 20th September 2025). They’ll focus on scripted and improvised theatre, on monologues, duologues and group performance, drama techniques and technical theatre. It’s a fantastic opportunity for children to learn new skills, develop their talents and to get creative.

FREE TASTER SESSIONS

If you know a young person aged between 11 and 18 who might be interested in joining this exciting new venture, Jade is running free trial sessions on Sunday 17th August at the EAT. These sessions will be from 11am-12pm or from 12.15-1.15pm. Places are limited so to reserve a space, contact jade@theatreboxacademy.co.uk

We’re looking forward to a long partnership with Theatre Box and we’re excited to welcome young talent into the theatre. You can find out more about it here.
