In The Bathroom Door, a prima donna, a young man, an old couple and a young lady are all trying to get into a hotel bathroom. The door will not open, and at last the prima donna declares that her husband must have locked himself in the bathroom and done away with himself...

In Birdsong, Tinker and Joey fuss about their cage, run up and down the little ladder, ring the little bell, bemoan the scarcity of cuttlefish and check their plumage in the little mirror. Suddenly into their cage is thrust voluble dissident Trixie, whose insistent squawks threaten the pecking order...
