'Cinders: The True Story' | 8th - 15th December 2018 Author: David Tristram| Directed by Suzanne Harris This pantomime replaces elaborate scenery with a fun-packed and innovative script, re-working the classic Cinderella tale with a few quirky twists and witty word-play. A panto that will be loved as much by adults as children. We follow the story of a poor downtrodden young woman destined to work hard and do the bidding of the nasty, ridiculous Baroness Hardup and her too ‘ugly’ daughters, Dotty and Potty. Always dreaming of escaping from her humdrum life (with little help from her father, the ‘weak’ Baron) she meets her “Hairy Godmother” who makes her dreams come alive in finding her true love Neil (who happens to be a prince) This production will not be so much singing and dancing but more about audience participation... both from the auditorium and on stage. Basically loads of shouting out, lots and fun and tons of laughter. What more applause do you need than children, and their families, giggling and laughing !!
